The Motorola CLP audio plug is a straight audio plug with threading on the connector designed to work with Motorola CLP series radios. Motorola CLP series radios including CLP1010, CLP1040, CLP1080, CLP1060, CLP107, CLP1043, CLP117, and CLP446 radios require the Motorola CLP audio plug.
The CLP straight headset plug is a 4 position plug supporting mono headphone output and mono microphone input. This connector is designed specifically to fit Motorola CLP radios and will not work with other devices, including the CLPe series, which requires a twist-lock connector (see connector 1046 for CLPe radios). The Motorola CLP audio plug includes threading on the connector, which combined with the CLP radio case, ensures the earpiece, headset, or other audio accessory is secured to the radio. The connector features a straight cable connection, strain relief, and threading on the connector.
